This is a very good day pack. It seems well made, but is light and just the right size. The straps and foam backing have vent holes for hot weather, and there is good adjustability with the straps. I like the vertical zippered compartment for stuffing things for quick access. There is also another compartment for small things, and that is all you need. I hate day packs with too many compartments. I will probably never use the trekking pole lashes, but the 2 plastic tabs where you put the point of the walking poles are strong, so I tied paracord across the pack from tab to tab as an attachment point with carabeeners, or for just lashing something to it, like a rain jacket that needs to dry. Great little day pack for the money.
