This shoe is definitely not for me. for starters the heel on this shoe really pinches the back of my ankle. I found this to be very uncomfortable. Also the shoe is more down turned than I originally expected, but some people may prefer that. It was just difficult to tell exactly down turned they were. Concerning the size, I have come to assume that Mad Rock climbing shoes in general fit tight. So much so that I usually size up 1 hole size from my street shoes. I have found this with 3 other mad rock shoe styles I have bough over the years. I also wear socks with my climbing shoes (i know, im weird, but it really helps to keep the shoes from getting so smelly and gross)so its usually are really nice fit. With these shoes it was a very painful fit.
I also disliked not having a split tongue, these shoes are more like a slipper and I found them to be a pain to put on.
The heel design, besides pinching, I thought was lacking in any useable contours for heel hooking compared to some other shoes I've owned from Mad Rock.
Pros:
None
Cons:
Runs small
Painful to walk in
Would recommend: No
