Just received my Mammut jacket. This thing is amazing! It has tons of loft, without being too bulky, super lightweight, incredibly comfortable, packable and WARM. It feels like I am wearing my favorite fluffy down mummy bag for a coat. If you are looking for a High quality down jacket, this is it!! An the price is great too. another retailer has this for $385, Campsaver's price was $250! I am 6' and 188 lbs. I ordered the large and it fits perfect. I even have some room for layering. But you won't need much with this jacket. Highly recommend!!

Poor quality

Second day I wore it I got a hole in the back of it. No idea how it even happened. It didn't get caught on any. $225 down the drain.

Mammut Ambler Hooded Jacket

CampSaver shipped the jacket quickly as promised. The jacket is super comfortable and light. I've never worn a jacket this warm. Even in high winds at - 12°C (10°F) I was perfectly comfortable with just a thin long sleeve shirt underneath. The insulated hood is also super warm and there are plenty of pockets. I bought this jacket strictly for general purpose use (outside with kids, walking dogs, etc) and so far it has met all expectations.

Great Jacket

This jacket is great. I was looking for a warm winter coat. I considered the McMurdo, Vostok, Eddie Bauer Superior Down Coat but they were all really heavy. The Ambler is so much lighter than all of those and this is the warmest jacket I have ever owned.

I noticed in high wind, 15+ mph, I could feel a little cold seeping in at the arm pits, but with a TNF layer underneath I am completely warm.
