Does exactly what it's made for...and does it well.
Simple. Great belay device. Works with different rope sizes which is great. The additional grooves help catch the rope tighter on falls. Does exactly what it was designed for and it does it very well. Light, comfortable and very functional. Another great Mammut product in my gear bag. I may purchase the Smart 2.0 Belay Device later on as it seems like an even better solution. Regardless, you won't be disappointed with this one.
