Bought this for my husband, who takes our dog to the dog park every day for an hour. The winter of northeast US can be quite brutal. To stay outdoor one hour in the cold really tests the quality of a down jacket. We haven't had a truly cold day so far, but by trying on the jacket indoors, my husband says he could tell it can carry through the coldest days. I got a female version of the same line for myself and I love it all the same. Will definitely recommend the jacket.

This jacket is super lightweight for the size and super warm. I'm 5'8" tall/150 lbs/38R chest and the size Medium fits me excellent. I got the Black color which looks great with it's neon blue lining. The jacket, when not cinched, is longer (down to mid thigh) than I'd expect which is great for providing coverage but it can also easily be cinched up and worn with the hem at the waist. There are lots of great things about this jacket but things that surprised me was the quality of the materials and fabrics. The tailoring is also precise (there is no extra bulk of fabric anywhere) and all the minor details are well done. I think Mammut changed the design slightly for the 2015/2016 season. The zipper pulls and cinch toggles are different on my coat versus the last year coat that I seen in the stores. Also this year's Eigerjoch seem to wear lighter and warmer than before.
This Eigerjoch is perfect but the only thing I would change are the ultra weak velcro closure tabs on the storm flaps. Unless you zip the central zip up those velcro tabs won't stay close-especially the velcro at the hem which just stays open and never really catches. I would have also wanted an extra zippered pocket on the inside chest for my mobile device even though the two mesh bucket pockets are enough. I also removed the bright orange zipper pulls on the pockets. They were just too much for me.

Well made and very warm. I'm 5'11, 185 lbs and the large is perfect size. My wife digs how it looks. Definitely worth the money.

Very nice quality jacket. I believe this is a good alternarive to the Rab Neutrino bit will fit a bit trimer and longer.

Well tailored; athletic fit is a nice change. The only thing to improve is the zipper flap; it should be larger and have more velcro snaps (it has two). Powder skirt is not like one you find on Mammut GoreTex jacket; it is smaller - but larger is actually better. I tried wraring the jacket under the Mammut Nordwand GoreTex jacket, and the combination worked well when ice climbing in extremely cold conditions.

Thought I would treat myself to a new jacket for the winter, looked around at offerings from RAB, Montane and North Face, finally found this sweet jacket from Mammut and had to have it.
I would normally buy Medium North Face/Rab but in Mammut I went for the Large as the numbers stated for my size, and it fits perfect.
I love the lycra gaiters over the hands, nice touch.

Great down jacket, get a lot of comments of people saying it looks good and stands out from the crowd of the usual Patagonia, REI, Etc brands. Very light and warm. Have not worn it in wet conditions yet so dont know how will handle that. My first down jacket so not sure how to compare to others but certainly not as puffy as other cheaper ones ive tried on.
