Reviews & Ratings for Mammut Eiswand Advanced ML Hooded Jacket - Men's

Thanks for the sizing insight, Awesome for highly aerobic activities for sure! It fits great as tight-fit layer. I have been using it for touring and xcountry skiing. The material moves well and is very breathable.

I purchased a “large”.
I’m 6’0, 200 lbs (I’m working on that! :), 42-44 inch (106-112cm) chest. I normally fit in “large” across the spectrum of outerwear and mid-layers. This was no exception.
My primary-use is ice-climbing, with 4-season backpacking as a secondary-use.
I normally wear an “action suit” consisting of a short-sleeve base-layer, long-sleeve secondary base-layer, and a sleeveless fleece bib/suit/one-piece. Until now, all of these pieces have been hood-less. This piece was purchased to go on top of all of that, so a mid-layer, and it fits, albeit snugly (athletic/trim).
One of the things that attracted me to this jacket is the placement of the chest-pockets. Climbing (wearing a harness) prohibits the function of waist-pockets, so a chest-pocket for a phone, etc. is key. This one has TWO.
Please note that I have not actually worn this for my intended uses. I did purchase an “extra large” just to compare the fit, and it’s a little looser than I’d want for climbing, but may be better for non-technical use (e.g. backpacking).
This is a beautiful hooded-jacket, and I WANT to wear it.
Of note, I also purchased the Mammut Aconcagua Light ML Hooded Jacket in Large to wear as a base-layer. I LOVE it and wear it constantly, with a t-shirt underneath, to do yard work in 40-50 degree temps. I love it so much that purchased a second one.

I've had a lot of eights. Only this kind of clipping has a lot of problems. It is much smaller. The hem is not free enough to follow the movement. This dress is not recommended. In addition, the picture is inconsistent with the reality.
