Reviews & Ratings for Mammut Miva Light IS Jacket - Women's
— 3 reviews — Page 1
like the color and lightness of jacket. But it is made for women with large breasts and small waist. I'm a pear shape so unfortunately I'll be returning it.

I have the male-equivalent of this Jacket with 850+ down fill power, and when my wife tried it on camping she instantly fell in love with it. So being the nice husband that I am, I found this female-equivalent jacket for her as a gift. This is in every way an Authentic Mammut jacket. The quality which I believe to be above par with other brands. My wife is 5'3" and 110lbs, an XS size was a perfect fit around her chest, waist, and hips. However, the sleeves were about 4 inches, too long, past her finger tips. I don't know if my wife is too petite for this jacket, a manufacturer defect, or if the jacket was designed for longer-armed women? Sadly she could not make the compromise on this and decided she didn't want to bother with having the sleeves tailored to fit. I returned the jacket on her request. Campsaver has a great returns policy and we were able to get our order refunded.

Cons:

I bought this to replace a similarly colored North Face jacket that I sadly lost. It's a great lightweight, yet warm, jacket. I am 5'7" and 130lbs. I have long arms and a long torso. The medium fits well and still allows a light sweater underneath. I bought the Orion color, however, the interior fabric is charcoal and not a lighter turquoise as shown in the picture. I also feel the exterior turquoise is a bit lighter than the picture shown, too. The first day I wore it in the rain and it appears to be water resistant which I wasn't expecting. The two minor negatives: I don't love the zipper. It's a small, left-side zip and in addition to the double zipper it takes more focus to get zipped than my previous jacket. Secondly, it takes a lot of effort to get it tucked into the packable pocket (I didn't even want to try and zip it for fear it would break the zipper). I rarely do this so that's not a big loss in my opinion.
