Pretty Slick
Works really well. It's really comfortable to use. Near perfect auto-locking with no moving parts. Take in slack just like a normal ATC, lower someone just like a GriGri - pull up to speed up, pull down to brake. Rock-solid friction braking and holding. And it's less than half the price of a GriGri. Plus it's a unique shape and draws covetous looks from others at the climbing gym. :-) I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Works great
Works as advertised. After a short learning curve, you will get used to using this device. It is lightweight and the assisted braking works every time. Lowering is jerky at first, but when you figure it out, it can be smooth as butter. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't figured out how to belay directly off the anchor with it in multi-pitch situations.

Light and clever
This device is elegantly simple, easy to use, and well designed, with no moving parts, and without all the complication of a GriGri but still offering the security of auto operation. It's my new favorite for single rope use. I plan to buy one of the "Alpine" versions for twin ropes and rappelling.

Excellent at what it does and for the $$
I've only used mine for a full day at the crag so far, but love it. I like the security of how it locks off easily and dynamically. Locked securely on my new (read: slippery) 10mm rope. Great for new belayers after a quick instruction set. Read the directions and you shouldn't have any problem lowering smoothly. Make sure to use two hands and my climbers can't even feel when I release it from lock

Game changing belay device
The Smart belay device does exactly what it has been designed to do, and it does it better than any other device on the market.
A few reasons the Smart is Smarter:
Most people will deactivate the auto locking function when paying out slack from a Gri-Gri. This is bad, but Gri-Gri users have found that it's the easiest way to make sure you don't short rope a leader.
So what if that leader falls
