Most Helpful Positive Review Nice boots, run small
These are nice well constructed boots that fit my narrow feet well. That said - they run quite small. I'm a 10.5 street shoe, but needed to size up to a 11.5 (45) in these to prevent my toes from contacting the front of the boot on descent / front-pointing. For comparison, I own La Sportiva Spantik and G2 SM in size 11's (44.5). The boots are very light and warmer than I expected. Looking forward to putting them through their paces.

I felt very comfortable and supportive wearing these shoes for a long time. We recommend ordering 1 size up. The footer section was very well supported. The material seemed very sturdy.

Mammut Taiss Light Mid GTX Boots

by John Edmonston, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on May 8, 2024
Phenomenal hiking boots. I feel like a mountain goat while ascending rock faced hills out in the Montana abyss. These run small so order 1 size bigger. If you have feet like Barney Rubble, forget about it! These don't come in size wide. You, with your webbed feet, will need to order a different boot. Keens are wide but purchase them from Campsavor... you won't find a better deal or faster delivery! Campsavor is the bomb diggity!
Pros:
  • Too many to list.
Cons:
  • The only con is they run small. These boots must be made for zSherpa
  • These boots must be made for Sherpa's because they run small. Order 1 size bigger.
Best Used for:

They’re a superb choice

by pika, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on November 10, 2023
The Mammut Taiss Light Mid GTX is currently the lightest B2 (4-season) mountaineering boot on the market. As you might expect, it feels nimble and agile, but it’s also decently robust, able to cope with tough terrain. They’re not as warm, protective or well-cushioned as bigger, burlier boots. However, if you’re looking for flexibility, feel and precision, they’re a superb choice.
