Mammut makes several top quality 30L packs. One, the Spindrift Light, is only 2 lbs and a great pack, but lightweight materials. The Trion Element is the same size, but heavier duty straps, hipbelt, and fabric overall. I bought it because I knew the pack would be around pointy crampons and ice axes, and ski edges, and get thrown around a lot. Also a better choice for heavier loads, such as carryin
