Most Helpful Positive Review Very warm & lightweight
I purchased this jacket as a Christmas gift for my 72 year old father who gets cold pretty easily. He loved it & couldn't get over how light it was, especially considering the warmth it provided. Previously he was wearing a heavy leather coat that belonged to his father. Would get him all 4 colors if I could!

Great cold weather jacket

Extremely happy with this jacket. It’s pretty light and don’t feel heavy wearing all day, yet provide the warmth needed for late winter early spring cool weather. Highly recommend it.

Best Jacket ever

This jacket is great! Compact, lightweight and it’s warm and comfortable. It conveniently folds itself into one of the pockets for easy, short term storage. Don’t keep it like that for long term or it’ll ruin the down feathers. One of the pockets has a zipper on the inside of the jacket so after you fold itself into the pocket you can zip it up and it becomes a small 5x7x2 bag (approximate size). Took it with me camping and easily stored it in my day pack out on hikes, which was perfect for the cold mornings and hot afternoons. I usually wear an extra large but I got the large and it fits perfectly. It doesn’t feel tight at all but does fit snug, which is the way it needs to be worn for the best results. Overall, I would highly recommend this Marmot jacket.

Best Jacket ever

This is my husband’s second one! He loves this coat! It is so warm when it needs to be in our MI weather but it also can be worn while shopping and he doesn’t overheat! It’s a win win coat! It does lose a few feathers here and there but not a reason not to purchase it. The down warmth is worth it! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Absolutely great jacket! Comfortable and super warm! I read some reviews that stated the jacket was thin and not puffy. My jacket came and it was compressed a bit in the shipping bag. That is easily corrected by fluffing on low temp in the dryer with tennis balls or dryer balls. I washed my jacket right away with Nikwax Down Direct followed by Nikwax Down Proof (fantastic products). I called Marmot and they recommended these products. Once done, I couldn’t believe how the jacket puffed up and is super rain repellent. Highly recommend this jacket and Nikwax product line (sold here on amazon as well).

Best Jacket ever

I live in ridiculously cold Chicago and I already owned several winter down coats including North Face, Triple Fat Goose[ my previous favorite] and Mark Jones. I was still not totally happy with any of them. I bought this coat and it arrived yesterday. I don't want to take it off. It is very warm but soft and lightweight also. The pockets and hood are lined with down making them very warm. I don't even need to have a hat

Great Item

Very nice jacket, vibrant color. Bought a men’s small for my female frame, only issue is that my hips are too wide which makes the bottom of the jacket a bit snug. I’m still keeping it, it’s a pretty nice jaccket.

I liked it so much the first time around, I bought a second one

My second of these jackets. Great combination of warm, light and flexible. If I were to have one criticism, it would be that the outer shell is a little thin and rips if you are careless. But that's the price you pay for flexibility and comfort.
