I was searching for a practical winter jacket/shell - not for skiing but for Chicago weather. I own other competitive brands, like Arc'teryx and Patagonia. I liked the price point and features of this BL Pro coat -especially since it was already drastically marked down; moreover, days after I ordered it, customer service granted me an additional $40 off because of an online coupon. My interactions with both Chase and Caitlin were informative and fruitful: both representatives are exemplars for Campsaver.
I am 68, 6', & 185 lbs, with 35"- long arms; thus, I'm usually caught between ordering a L or XL. The XL in blue/green piqued my interest. If it matters, my wife and daughter loved the color combination: I do too. Admittedly, even with a base layer, I did have to cinch up the jacket both internally and externally; however, I'd rather have a more comfortable than tight fit.
This is a very durable jacket, with a multiplicity of utilitarian zippered pockets throughout. I really take advantage of having so many places for my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, and small garage door opener.
This is one of the best bang-for-the-buck jackets I've ever owned; in addition, Campsaver is truly a stellar company.

High quality. Stiff. I am sure will soften up with years. Hopefully will last for 20 as my previous jacket. It was (is) old school- Couloir. The Pro has plenty of storage. Will test it out next week on the slopes. I will add a review if something disappointing. I am 6’ and 195 on a good day. The L is my size.

A classic shell of the highest quality. Thoughtful placement of pockets, great fit, nice soft touch around the hood front-baklava area. Great color choices. Outstanding value for sale price. Love. Campsaver. Large is pretty big. I had to drop to medium to get better fit.

I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs. The XL is good for me. Thick, a little stiff, and noisy goretex shell. Water / wind proof and feels solid. Hood is large, adjustable by cord in the back. Exterior has 16" long pit zips under both arms (huge). Right side exterior upper has two zippered vest pockets. Right side and left side exterior lower has zippered hand pocket. Left side interior has zippered mesh pocket. Right side interior has open (no zipper) mesh pocket. Lower interior has zippered removable wrap around elastic powder skirt that snaps in the front. Collar has a soft fabric around it that feels nice on your chin and neck when you zip the coat all the way up. Heavy duty shell jacket with lots of pocket space. Great for long wet weather outings. Comfortable out in the rain all day with this jacket. It's really a ski jacket, and great for that too. Not insulated so you will need something under it in cool weather.
Pros:
- Solid 3 layer shell with lots of pockets
