I ordered a size Small based on reviews on this site and others. For context, I am 5'4" and 120 lbs. When the coat arrived, I was so excited-- I am perpetually cold in NH (I lived in CA for 14 years) and I couldn't wait to be warm. I had chosen the purple color and it was true to the website. The coat lining is plush and it was very toasty. The hood fit and stayed in place with basic movement. The length was exactly what I expected, hitting at the knee. Unlike some reviewers, I did not have any trouble with the zipper and I am someone who has no patience with bad zippers! However, I expected the coat to be more fitted at the waist and it was definitely NOT. I had on one of my bulkiest winter sweaters underneath and there is still plenty of room. A common complaint is that the coat is tight across the chest but I did not find that to be the case at all. The coat does sort of puff out at the bottom, which adds some style, though I can't speak to it allowing the cold to come up inside because I did not wear it outside. I will probably be returning this due to the size.

Beautifully made and durable-looking. I love this coat. Would buy from the company who made cost in a heartbeat. I feel like I got a great deal on the coat too! I am going to get one for my daughter as well for college to make sure she is warm walking around campus.

Bought since I was moving to Alaska for school. After doing a lot of online research, this seemed like one of the warmest women's coats available for an accessible price tag. Very impressed with the quality. The hood especially is fantastic: deep and fits over your face, doesn't feel like it will fall off. Returned reluctantly after plans changed.

I bought it to face the cold weather from early January. I was tired of layering up and I wanted something that was comfortable, warm, waterproofed, and that I could also wear to work. I was not disappointed. My legs were not freezing anymore, it was like there was no winter.

Love this jacket, toasty warm with durable outer shell. It snows where I am easily keeps the chills out. Thank you Marmot.
