I recently used this jacket for a winter camping trip in Rocky Mountain NP. From snowshoeing in high winds the to sitting around the fire in 15 degree temps, I was able to stay dry, comfortable and warm.
I have also used the shell for running in the rain, good breathability and motion.
Hood is great, detachable and tuck away options.
