Really nice jacket overall but has two flaws - Marmot Montreaux Coat - Women's

I bought this jacket on sale in the crocodile color and I'm planning on keeping it because I got it at such a great discount. I took it out today in 30-something degree weather and it kept me very warm with only a long sleeve and leggings underneath. It's semi-fitted and reaches down to my knees, which is a great length since you can adjust the bottom zipper if you need more room for your legs. You can really feel the quality when you run your hands over the outside and also the inside microfiber fleece. It's also very lightweight despite being so warm. I haven't tested the waterproof capabilities yet.
However, there are two big flaws that would make this jacket a perfect 10/10 if they were fixed. First, the zipper is super hard to use and it's a bit of a learning curve. For such an expensive jacket ($300 without discount), you'd think that Marmot would use higher quality zippers that zipped more smoothly. This might be a problem if you're outside in cold weather trying to zip up your jacket with freezing hands. Secondly, as other commenters have said, this jacket runs small - which works for me because I'm on the smaller side (5'4 100 lbs), but it's kind of tight when I wear thicker jackets. However, the main problem I see, at least with the size XS, is that the hood is tiny. I have a very small head and a slightly longer than average neck. If they added 1 inch to the height of the hood, it would fit my head better and give the top of my head a little more room.
Other than those complaints, I love the jacket. I would definitely return it if I bought it at $300, but I got it for a little over $100, so really can't complain.
