Reviews & Ratings for Marmot Plasma 15 Sleeping Bag -900 Down-
— 7 reviews — Page 1
I took this sleeping bag out for camping where the temperature dropped to 26F. Even with 4 layers I was still cold in this bag. I had to resort to using a sleeping liner to keep myself warm through the night. I really love how soft and comfortable this bag feels. Slate Grey / Atomic Blue color combo looks fantastic. But because this bag is not warm enough and the fact you pay such a high premium for it I ended up returning Marmot Plasma 15. In the end I purchased Marmot Helium (15F) for $100+ cheaper, it packs down 1in smaller into its stuff sack than Plasma, and overall feels warmer.
I like everything about this bag, except that I'd call it more of a 25 degree bag than a 15. The vertical baffles do distribute heat really well, and the other features are great. I find the bag very cold below 30F, though, to the point where I need a liner or extra blanket.

Upon receipt of the Plasma 15 I was immediately impressed w/ the material; even the stuff sack is really nice :). The bag is very light weight, and very water resistant. I tried it out in 32 degrees F; i never buttoned up all the way 'cause it was too warm. The neck baffle that keeps air from going down past your neck is fantastic. I have not gotten in a more comfortable bag, ever. Props to Marmot on a great product; it's about to get some serious trail use :)

Today I took receipt of my Marmot Plasma 15 sleeping bag. My initial impression without opening the box was how light the package felt. It was so light I wondered at first if they sent me an empty box. Upon opening it, I laid it out upon my carpeted floor, unzipped it and climbed in to make sure It fit my body size. I am very impressed thus far but 'the truth is in the pudding" as they say and therefore, until I actually use it outdoors on some future over night hike, I cannot say if it will keep me warm through the night hours at higher elevations. The plan is to use it on the Wonderland Trail in Aug/Sept 2016.
