In cold weather, it was an excellent outer shell, and details like the adjustable hem and hood design kept warmth inside the jacket. When the mercury rose, however, the inside of the jacket tended to get clammy from sweat and condensation, but we found this typical with most rain jackets. The PreCip’s ventilation features, such as its large pit-zips and mesh-lined pockets, moved enough air when opened and kept the wearer cool.
