Great quality hiking pant
The pant quality was awesome, material felt well made and durable. The grey color was exactly the shade I was looking for. Unfortunately I just couldn't get the sizing to quite work out. The size 2 was a tad too tight in my thighs, but then the size 4 was too loose in the waist. I am 5'1 and 103 pounds. I most definitely would have kept the pants otherwise!

Marmot Scree Pant- women's
These pants fit true to size through the hips and waist. I was pleasantly surprised to find a size 4 that fit perfectly in the waist. Fabric seems like it will be very durable, and will withstand sliding down rock. It is good to not have rear pockets on hiking pants. The front pockets and side "cargo" pocket have nice zippers. I wish pants were offered in petite sizes.

Perfect pants, just too short
The pants are perfect except for the length. I love the way they give some stretch yet are very durable in the woods. They work well for my body type. I carry more weight in my hips and thighs and they are cut to fit me. I really like the grey color but I plan to buy a pair of black also. I ordered the regular length but they accidentally shipped the ones with a short inseam. The return was easy. I expect to get a full refund.

quality pants with odd fit
The material of the pants are mid weight soft shell. I'm 5'7" 123lb athletic build, and have an earlier version in black, size 6 long, which I wore a lot during winter trek/climbs, sometime with a thin thermal layer. I ordered green size 4 regular length, thinking will use them for shoulder season. The new version of size 4 somehow fits slightly bigger than my order size 6, specially in hip and upper tight area. I do have a boyish straight figure with narrow hips, so not a good fit for me for sure.

Solid Pants
I'm kind of new to the hiking world, and these are the first pair of hiking pants I've bought so I can't really compare them to any other hiking pants, but I will say I took them out for a short hike the other day in the rain and they kept my legs pretty dry, protected them from bugs, and prevented them from getting any scratches. They were also breathable and felt secure. I don't know what else you could expect from a pair of pants, but that's more than I can say for any other pants I've worn.

Great fit and flex
These pants are great. The fit as expected and have plenty of stretch in them so they don’t restrict movement. They repel water great and block wind. The zip on the bottom is nice to fit over hiking boots, but I don’t know that they will fit over ski or snowboard boots, which would be nice for warm ski days. They might, but I haven’t checked yet. They also come clean easy. I was concerned the light color would stain or look dirty, but even after a fall in the mud they came perfectly clean in the wash. All around great buy.

Perfect for traveling.
I've hiked many miles in my old scree pants and they're durable and have handy pockets. But I really rely on them for travelling. There's a zipper pocket on the thigh big enough for a passport (and you don't have to sit on it) and 2 other zipper pockets for money and cards. They wash easily and dry quickly and they're not so obviously sports pants that you couldn't wear them to dinner. So I bought a second pair after happy years with the first. I am 5'5" 130# with long legs and I ordered a 10L. But I have barely a waist and I like a looser fit for long plane rides. An 8 might be a better fit for someone else my size.

I unfortunately made the mistake
I unfortunately made the mistake of reading reviews before purchasing these pants. I ordered a size up and they are too big. I think that are likely true to the size on the size chart. I wish I had simply followed the chart.

Terrific travel pant for cool, damp weather
I LOVE these pants! Bought a pair for each of my adult children who agree that it keeps them warm and dry but is not binding.
