I got it for my 12yr old granddaughter to use, she had a bad experience in a bivy last year and doesn't want to try one again.
We used it this weekend in Northern NH, weather was clear. She had the tent fly attached just in case she needed to close it, but left it open. It is a single wall tent so there was still some condensation on her sleeping bag, but no worse than her sisters bivy. it does have to be staked down, maybe the side stakes could be left , but front and rear are needed. It would be big enough for me to use, 5'7 175lb, but no more equipment than I could put in my bivy. The vestibule is only big enough for your shoes or small items. I am thinking of getting one for myself and my other granddaughter. It is a step up from a classic Kelty bivy, but people who think of this as a tent may be disappointed.
