Most Helpful Positive Review Great 1 person tent!
Just back from a weekend backpacking trip. Great little tent! Light weight, quick and easy to set up and pack up. A plus that it comes with it’s own ground cloth. Does not feel cramped with the head room and bit of extra space created by the design. A keeper!
Most Helpful Negative Review Poor Quality
I bought the Tungsten 1-person tent due to cost , bonus footprint, and higher 68d Polyester Taffeta material for durability. Was I fooled! I used it 4th of July, first and only time used, and a small branch ripped a hole in the rain fly during a small mountain hailstorm. I have used tents in the mo...

I bought the Marmot Tungsten 1 person tent and it’s great! The weight is under 4 lbs and is perfect for backpacking. It’s super easy to set up and it has reflective accents so nobody trips over your tent at night.
Pros:
  • easy setup
  • Lightweight, but durable
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Solo backpacking trips

Good 1p tent

by Brian, Written on March 5, 2017
Marmot did well on this design. Room where you need it, decent vestibule space, simple and efficient interior pocket placement. My purchase included the floor saver that also gives one the option to set up without the tent body. They should all have those included. Not considered an ultra lite but a lite tent by any means. Stuffs into half the bag it comes with. Pretty stout stakes for OEM too. Extremely good deal on sale and certainly worth the regular price.

Easy set up. Great quality. Lots of room for a medium build male. Just wish it was a little bit lighter.

Tungsten 1P Tent

by Edward C., Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on May 3, 2016
This is an excellent tent. Well designed, simple set-up, and footprint was included. I bought this for adventure motorcycling. The Tungsten 1P would be 5 stars if:
1. It weighed a pound less - Marmot could achieve this by reducing the tent's height.
2. Making the poles more packable by shortening the poles' length and packing the bend in the poles independantly.
