The Sawtooth is the best, most comfortable boot I ever purchased. To discontinue this product is a grave mistake. I bought these boots for more than 15 years before they were unavailable. Merrill has lost a very loyal customer by not making this boot available

This is my 3rd pair of Merrell boots, specifically for backpacking. I have not. Even disappointed so far. They feel very sturdy under a heavy pack and can handle the occasional scrambling and scree crossing with no problem.

Great backpacking boot. I typically do three day, 20 mile trips in the mountains of Arizona. The vibram sole is tough and should be long lasting. They are not waterproof (gore tex liner) like the Asolos but I live in Arizona and rarely encounte
