This product by any other company would be considered heavy weight. It is very soft and very warm. I intend to purchase another set. I intend to purchase two pairs of this medium weight long underwear along with a silk long underwear set underneath. With to pair in two colors I can manage the washing cycle of the wool and extendtimes between washings by rotation and address various temperature challenges by using one or two layers.

Minus 33 Kancamangus mid-weight merino wool bottoms

I have worn Minus 33 long underwear for 20 years. They are superfine merino wool and they have a fly. The expedition (400 weight) is great for winter. These midweight ones are 230 weight so they are not as warm or as thick. Great spring and fall long johns. Made in China. They are warm and affordable wool long underwear.

Cons:
  • Washing is picky so yu don't shrink them
Best Used for:
  • cold weather

I am very happy with these 230gram long bottoms. I had a set of 150gram long bottoms that I really liked but were inadequate at times. The 230gram are perfect. They fit and wear well. Not bulky at all.
