This is an awesome piece of gear, if you are getting it for what it is. If you want a very warm jacket that is super light and don't mind sacrificing things like pockets, this is the jacket for you. My XL weighs about 6.8 ounces. It is toasty warm when I put it on. I'd say it is good down to the 40s if just sitting around and down to the 30s moving. I was fine with a Cap 4 layer under it at 1
