Most Gore-Tex Pro Pants are full-featured and heavy, leading those who are shaving weight in their pack to look at other material and missing out on the benefits of the Pro material. The Alpine Pro Pants strips out all the bells and whistles, leaving a pair of Pro pants that is lighter than most other Pro pants on the market. It still carries a very useful full-length leg zipper, mechanism to cinch down the hem opening of the trouser, and a combo elastic waist and hook & loop setup to control fit. The inseam is a bit long for the Small size. I am 5' 9" and the inseam on this pair is about 1-2 inch too long.
