Reviews & Ratings for Montane Sabretooth Jacket - Mens

This jacket has a solid build and looks sharp in the black with red details. I bought the jacket in medium and large, but ended up returning them both. the medium fits my chest and arms perfectly for light layering that you would use in high output activities, where a soft shell works best. My problem is the torso length. The M is good if you want to wear it around town, but when I put on a soft shell I want wind and weather protection. Thus I want it to cover my rear a little and stay about mid way on my pants zipper. wearing a backpack with the medium would have me constantly pulling the jacket down, the large solves this problem but is just bulkier than I like. If the M had the L length I would be in soft shell heaven for the next 10-20 years with this jacket. Its got a bomber build and I love the hood.. I keep trying to justify keeping it but it will just drive me insane every time I put it on. I know I'm being picky but I see my soft shell as a long term investment.
