Not my favorite. - Mountain Equipment Aerostat Down 7.0 Sleeping Mat

The first time backpacking with this mat and it failed me. It got two holes in it, one on the bottom and one on the top. I inspected my tent floor when I got home, no holes that I could find.If my zipper on my sleeping bag put a hole in it this product this product does not belong in the field. I read all these wondrous reviews of this product here and on backpacker magazine that led me to purchase.

I like the down aspect and the technology to keep one warm and comfortable. If the air does not stay in the pad all that tech is useless. I was not cold due to warm weather in Arizona but I was miserable all night.

I wanted a warmer and more comfortable pad than the one I currently have owned for 10 plus years with not one issue. I wish this pad was more durable. The insides rock but the outside could use some attention for sure. Of course its out of the 30 day return window so now I am going to patch it and see how it works in my hammock, is sure does not work on the the ground.

Mountain equipment if you read this please fix the durability issue, I really want to like this pad but it dose not belong in my pack.
