This is the third ME Fitzroy jacket that I have owned. It is a great all season jacket, and even good for layering in the winter season. The outer shell is water repellent and windproof, and the jacket is still nice and warm even when wet. My oldest jacket, now about 10 years old, I use for camping and running about in the woods. The new jacket I wear almost every day. I've found these jackets to stand up well to wear and tear. There have been minor modifications over time, and the latest jacket features a larger internal chest pocket, and hand warmer pockets that have soft fleece on the outside, but a thin synthetic layer on the inside, allowing good transmission of body heat to the hands. The jacket has an excellent hood, that is large enough to fit over a helmet. I'd buy this jacket again. The arms are also nice and long as to provide good cuff protection. Also great is the warmer Citadel jacket.

I’ve only worn this jacket on 4-5 days thus far but really like it thus far. It had been comfortable in temperatures into the 20-30s F, with wind, moisture and blowing (driving) snow with 60g/m insulation underneath and in 30s F with wind and using a light fleece underneath. The deep hadwarmer pockets rock and the single chest pocket is nice to have. The hood is awesome with or without a helmet.
