The Vega is my go to piece for climbing in the mountain ranges of the Lower 48 during winter. I also use it in arctic climbing environments like the Alaska Range. It is warm and lightweight, but most importantly has a performance cut that allows me to climb in the jacket if need be. It is extremely weather resistant and tough as nails.
