David's Review of Mountain Equipment Vega Jacket - Men's
First impression: Very warm and comfortable and light weight. This is the lightest and warmest jacket i own, and it can handle weather around 40s with wind chilled with just a shirt and this jacket. i only gave this jacket a 4 stars because i wear this jacket as the outer layer, and the material is a little too thin (30D) for my taste. i would have prefer a thickness of at least 40D. i have a feather that is starting to stick out from the inside of the jacket, and it is not coming from a seam but from the shell itself. that is why i believe the materials is too thin. i brought this jacket on sale and below $200. if the price were the same, i would have gotten the Mountain Equipment Lightline Jacket. i believe the lightline would even be warmer than the vega, and the lightline also have a thick shell at 40D. but overall, i am happy with my purchase as long as i don't find any other leakage of feather from other spots.
Pros:
Warm and Comfy
Cons:
Shell may be too thin
Best Used for:
cold weather
Would Recommend:
Yes
