If you have any sort of butt or thighs, these will hug very tight. I wear 32 in MH Yumalino and they fit great. The large in these were too big around the waist, and too tight on my bum- and my backside is average.

Finally find the successor of my old Sherpa which I used in winter as the only layer on most of my trips. MH Chockstone Alpine Pant are thinner than my Sherpa, nevertheless thicker then few are try (recently bay and returned MH Ch Hike, EB Guide Pro, Marmot High Ridge). 4 Stars only because I did not used it outside yet. Bay M short. Usually used 30 inseam, 43-44 waist. They are ideal. Zippered thigh pocket is big enough for NG and Sky Terrain maps.

Sizing on this pant is a little off; waist runs small and the legs are pretty wide.
I love Chockstone medium weight pants and shorts, but this Alpine weight is a bit too beefy for most purposes.
