Good Canoe Tent

by KarlosJ83, Gear Expert from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2011
We took this tent on one of our Algonquin canoe trips, and it held up nicely in the stormy weather that we got. There is lots of room for 2 people and 2 packs inside the tent. We didn't have any problems with condensation or leaking. We plan on getting the footprint for the tent in the future, but was fine with out it.

Solid tent

by Scouter Lane, Written on April 3, 2014
Really liking this tent. I've had it out in some pretty humid conditions and, even with the rain fly on, it seems to vent well. It's my main backpacking tent, even when I'm solo (though I'll just go with ground cover and a tarp if it's not bug season.)

What a great tent!

by Phil the Scoute, Written on December 12, 2013
Went camping with 4 other scouters and oh, did it rain. In the morning the two of us that had Mountain Hardwear tents were completely dry, two others had really expensive tents and they were dry, and another who had a Wally world special was freezing and wringing out her sleeping bag.

Awesome Tent!

by Scott, Written on September 10, 2013
This is the first tent that my wife and I bought and it works great for us. She is 5 foot 4 and im 6 foot 2 and there is plenty of room. The 2 vestibules are great for storing gear so we are not climing all over each other in the morning. I couldnt ask for anything more from this tent.

Great tent for hiking

by Pet Doctor, from SC, United States Written on September 10, 2013
I use this tent primarily for our men's hikes at our church. It is easy to set up. It is plenty of room and is great to have 2 doors so you don't have to climb over someone to get out during the night. The tent does well in heavy rain as well.

great all around tent, can be set up using tent or just poles and fly. plenty of room for 2 tall people and gear, having 2 doors is a great plus.set up and tear down is a breeze.i have been caught in some very bad weather and have stayed dry, great option is just using footprint and poles and fly for lightweight trips or whole tent for pesky bugs or cooler weather, with this tent you have the option,

Awesome home away from home!

First of all, CAMPSAVER is the best thing since sliced bread! The site is easy to navigate and they have spectacular deals on the best name brands! The drifter 3 is a great tent to backpack with a buddy or 2. My buddy has the Skyledege 3 which is awesome, too. Although, for the price point I think the Drifter does everything the Skyledge does at an affordable price. The Drifter is 5 inches longer

Great Tent

by KarlosJ83, Gear Expert from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2011
I specifically went after this tent for two reasons: 1) I needed something completely waterproof (I found out the hard way, my old tent was not.)and 2) I wanted two vestibules for some back country camping.

We had a thunderstorm the first night I used it. No water problems at all. And it was nice not crawling over another dude to get to my equipment.

Price is, of course, a factor. However, I

First Expensive Tent

by Mike, Written on July 1, 2010
I have used this once so far for a scout trip out of the car. It is small enough for me to take backpacking split between 2 people. I am 6' 4" and I fit great with my teenage son. Would sleep three if needed. It did build up some moisture the first night. Unfortunatly the condensation falls back into the tent. I liked the vestibule also.
