The Epic is a great jacket/rain shell. It is waterproof and as breathable as a rain shell can be. The pit zips do their job. The hood/hat is a little too floppy but functions fine if tightened down a bit. It works great when I have a hat on. The collar becomes rather annoying if you roll up the hood into it.
