Most Helpful Positive Review Cozy, great shape and lightweight
A fantastic mid layer that I use for touring which holds heat even when wet from snow falling. It packs away into my back pack nice and small and is really light and warm. Feels like a purr rather than a roar of heat. I feel the cold quite easily and this has been a necessary investment to my kit. T...

Most Helpful Negative Review Great service from Camp Saver, average jacket quality...
Once again, great customer service from Camp Saver!Unfortunately, I am not blown away with the quality of the Micro Ratio from Mtn Hrdwr. The jacket is exceptionally warm for it's bulk and lower rating of down loft. The medium fits well (5'5" ~145, slightly broad shoulders) with room for a layering ...

Not so much

I don't really understand why this jacket is getting such good reviews. First off, for me the fit was poor. I ordered a small and a medium. I am 5'6" 120lbs. The small looked the nicest on me, but I could tell that it would hinder motion during activity. For instance, when I lifted both hands above my head, it felt quite tight under my armpits and the sleeves came down a little below my wrists. I settled for the medium for the mobility factor, but it was quite roomy in the stomach area. Also, I didn't find it to be very warm at all. For example, I found the range that best suited this jacket as a stand alone piece was between 10 to 5 degrees Celsius at coldest (if wearing only long sleeve t-shirt underneath.) Also, it was losing feathers from the get go and never let up. Overall, a very unimpressive jacket from a normally stand up company.

Great jacket!

I haven't tested this jacket in cold weather, but I can confirm that it is well made; the material is not plasticky like many similar jackets I checked out, and there are no feathers poking through it. The cut is nice--not super fitted but not at all boxy. I got the zinc/phantom purple and love the color combination even more than I thought I would. A very comfortable and high quality jacket that will hopefully keep me warm and packs nicely for travel.

Lightly toasted

by Kristen K., Written on April 3, 2015
or, rather, light and toasty. This jacket weighs next to nothing but really keeps the heat in. It's easy enough to put a fleece on underneath if more warmth is desired. I also love the fitted, more feminine shape.
