Ridiculous for the price - Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Insulated Jacket - Men's

I ended up spending about $80 for this because of a clearance price and then a $20-off promotion from campsaver. So this might not be "the best" jacket, but for $80 it certainly kicks the tar out of anything else in its price range. I wanted a down jacket for backpacking that, combined with my fleece and outer shell(s), I could handle sub freezing conditions. This will definitely do the trick. It also packs down super small as would be expected. The only thing I don't like is the drawstring-less hood, which makes it a little lacking. In conditions where it's so cold you're wearing down, a drawstring would matter.
