Fit is as expected. I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs and ordered a large and it was comfortable but still able to layer under or over. Very light weight but seems very durable. Definitely worth a few extra ounces imo.

Another great jacket by Mountain Hardwear! Details matter, and this is where Mountain Hardwear sets its self apart from most insulated jackets and parkas. The Nitrous jacket, while meant to be a light weight jacket, still incorporates a slightly longer tail, which actually makes this coat more wind resistant, warmer, and much more comfortable while driving in a vehicle or cycling. I'm 6'-00" and weigh 185, and large fits perfectly with nice long sleeves. The pockets are positioned perfectly, making one hand operation of the zippers a breeze. The upper chest pocket is very roomy and perfect for safe carry of a large smart phone. I've owned all the biggest named brands of light weight down jackets, and ounce for ounce the Nitrous Jacket is the warmest I've owned, and so light you barely know you have a jacket on. The Nitrous Jacket is listed as a Full size jacket. I've found this is really a slimmer fit, making it perfect for layering. I can easily wear this Jacket under my heavier jackets or parkas for the coldest of activities. The Nitrous jacket is the perfect Jacket for active outdoorsman down to around 32. I find it the perfect Everyday jacket for people who dislike wearing a coat while driving, because you won't know you have it on. Plus you can get out and shop indoors and not get hot. I ordered this jacket based on a price and its functionality. Everything I read said get a size smaller than normal which I did, which was then too tight around my hips. Anyway, I also wore it outside while the temp was in the 40's and felt the cold come through on the arms, not to mention there is hardly any loft throughout the jacket. I returned it and got a Patagonia down hoodie, which is significantly loftier and more stylish! ;)

I've read a lot of comments saying the sizing was way off. I couldnt disagree more in my case. I dont have the typical hiker build, Im a built like a linebacker. Broad shoulders
and a 50" chest. I typically wear xxl
sometimes 3xl. I bought this in xxl, and it fits me perfectly. Base layer plus this jacket, plus shell and I'm good to go down to well below freezing. I do wish there was a drawstring for the hood, but my shell will take care of that. Very happy with this purchase.

Super nice - amazingly warm for such a lightweight jacket. I wear it daily and it keeps me toasty in the windy Colorado foothills where I work. MZ

I wasn't sure what to expect regarding this down jacket when I ordered it. In fact, I was a bit skeptical regarding how it would fit. Upon researching the jacket, people reported that it ran large and so I ordered a medium. I am 5'11", approx. 180 lbs., 42R, and 16" x 33-34" and while I would have liked the jacket to be a little more trim in the torso, I understand clothing manufacturers have to accommodate a range of body types. Basically, it is a bit long and has a little extra room in the midsection but not excessive if you down-size. In fact, this down jacket actually complements my body rather well. Some down jackets are too puffy, make you look like you have a beer belly, and have odd shoulders, etc. However, the MH Nitrous does not have those problems. It's very light and made of high quality materials and overall, I'm very pleased. I can move my hands overhead without the waist hem rising above my pants and there is no restriction whatsoever to your range of motion for any alpine activities. It has a nice hood even though there is no real adjustments and it will only work with a smaller helmet if the jacket is fully zipped up but that's fine with me. Anyhow, it is summer here and I have not truly tested it in cold weather yet but feel it will be great for cool to cold temps. Really cold temps would require layering and since it has a hydrophobic 800 fill down coating, it should work well in the PNW where it can be damp at times. It's one of those comfortable, light ja...

I was deciding between the Nitrous and the Ghost Whisperer. I went with Nitrous because it has tougher nylon and a chest pocket with the same fill. THE NITROUS IS AWESOME! This coat is light as a feather, folds into its own pocket, which becomes a goose down pillow in the tent. The down is great - you can tell its packed into the coat really well.

I am a large and ordered a Medium and it fit perfectly. CampSaver is awesome - they do a great job honoring price matches. Very happy!

I bought this jacket as it went on clearance at the end of a season. This is a fantastic jacket, lightweight and appears to be extremely warm. I will update after it gets cooler and I get an opportunity to use it.

I ordered the medium to begin with, as I was between sizes. The medium was a bit too big (I'm 5'8" and about 160lbs). The sleeves were long and the jacket was a bit too roomy. I returned the medium and received the small instead. The small fits much closer to what I was expecting. It should fit slimmer and tighter and the small did that for me.

I love this Jacket it folds up small packs up great
And great as a layer
