Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0 Sleeping Bag -800 Down-
Well, only been out once so far, about 25 degree weather tent camping in the snow in VT. Totally warm, and roomy enough for my 6'6" 205lbs. Zipper did snag a lot and seemed to be a lot of moisture on shell, though didn't penetrate. The shell is quite thin, 15 Denier. I am a bit apprehensive if I was staying out for several days whether moisture would penetrate. I will update this if I learn more.

Was this or feathered friends and I care about looks guess it doesn’t matter camping but the Phantom looks awesome and colorful and the fabric feels great on your skin and it’s lighter and packs smaller. Slept on my deck one night to test was 19 degrees and I was basically hot and had to unzip a bit. Feathered friends are great bags but they look like they could be from Walmart. ♂️

I heard about this bag for a long time and finally dropped the money on it. I have absolutely no regrets. It is ridiculously comfortable and warm. I was skeptical about really how warm it would be because I am a desert rat and am always cold when camping or backpacking. However, the first time I used it I was roasting all night while everyone else in my group said they were cold. The other big plu

Very nice down bag. Like the low weight yet high warmth factor. perfect for cold weather backpacking. I had no problem with the zipper, it works smoothly for me. It is cut sparingly, yet my 6 foot 190lbs frame fit decently but with little room to spare (values weight savings, over plush comfort). The shell is ok, but is not made of the newer water proof materials, resists water, but requires thoug

This bag is for the serious user that knows he/she is going to have to rely on it as a means of protection from extremely cold weather. (otherwise spend less on a different bag). There are several reasons why it is expensive (and the best).. the quality of the down, the construction and purpose, the materials used, and the technical features, all of which you will be very pleased with. In my uses

I was very impressed with this bag. It is very light and compacts very nicely. I will use this bag in a variety of snow camping and glacier trips. I wish it had a full length zipper but it was easy enougth to manage. It was quite warm.
