Good and Bad

by Michael, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on February 15, 2021
These pants look great for cold weather rock climbing. BUT they were marked as 32 and clearly by measuring waist they were 36. They were clearly closeout and probably had been returned before. Had to send back. Not good.
Pros:
  • Great workmanship
  • Tough outer material
Cons:
  • Campsaver sent size marked wrong
Would recommend: Yes

Super comfy for colder weather

by EricC, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on October 11, 2019
This is my 2nd pair of these pants. I'm 6'3, 180lbs, and 32" waist, and I bought the 32x34 this time, after getting the 32x32 in the past. While the 32x32 works for me, it's just a tad shorter than I'd like after being washed multiple times...so, I went with the 32x34 to be safe, and I am happy with this decision.

The construction is quality, though I am finding some wear and tear on my first pair...mainly the stitching around the pocket. I'm not too upset though, considering I have an outdoor job that is pretty demanding and hard on my clothing. I bought the original pair 2 years ago, and it is still holding up great despite all the abuse.

As far as the look goes, these pants are on the looser side (slightly baggy), so if you're going for that skinny look, you won't like these. While I usually like the slimmer look, I bought these for their comfort and warmth...both of which they receive high marks on. These pants are like wearing a pair of nice looking pajamas....super warm, super comfy...the fleece lining is awesome in the cold. I wore these for 6 months in southeast Alaska and they were money.
Pros:
  • Comfy
  • warm
  • Look nice
Cons:
  • Quality of stitching could be better
Best Used for:
  • Everyday use in cold weather

Warm stretchy pants

by Andy, from NM, United States Written on August 29, 2018
These would be too hot for me to wear for any sort of active hiking or scrambling, even in winter, unless it was really really cold. They have a nice soft fleece layer inside. The pants are stretchy and tough. I caught them on a broken tree branch while jumping over a fallen pine and though for sure I'd ripped them but they were fine. These are great for sitting around in the cold camp or for activities when you think you want some warmth and light snow-protection from the but not enough to warrant putting on your ski pants. The cut is pretty nice and they look pretty good, if maybe a little bit wrinkly and frumpy. Pretty happy with these pants.
