Packs down smaller than a can of beer. I can boil a pint of water in just a few minutes.

It was easy to operate and worked well to boil water faster than the Jetboil that was used by a fellow hiker. Pretty impressive considering how small the unit is, however the lighter did not work well but it is a minor issue.

I have used white gas stoves for 20+ years when backpacking. Even though I checked "Comfort Driven" on my Gear Style - I am also becoming more wise - lighter is a good thing. My first stove was a Whisperlight, then I migrated to a Dragonfly with the goal being some temperature control.
With my "new" goal being to lighten the load - the small canister stoves really appealed to me. I considered

I have two other stoves, the whisperlite international and soto, each have their pros and cons. This stove is the smallest, and I like the separate ingnitor. The soto I'd wonderful but I have had trouble with the ingnitor in the cold and at high altitude. It would be nice, as the micro rocket allows, to leave the ingnitor home if you don't want to bring it. The power and flame control seem to b
