I purchase the 1.7 OL system and have use it. I needed something that is more packable by size and weight. I am hoping this gives me both. The 1.7 OL works great on that 5,6,7 day backpack trips. But for the shorter trips and over night the 1.0 will be perfect.

I bought the 1 liter MSR reactor pot because I’m a recent convert to the MSR rector stove! I have been using the reactor with the 1.7 liter pot this winter for melting snow and absolutely am impressed by its power and efficiency. Now purchased the 1 liter pot so I can use the stove in warmer weather backpacking trips for myself. The 1 liter size is perfect! While some might say this system is heavier than its competitors, I say I now need one stove and just switch pots depending on the season.
Pros:
Perfect for 1-2 people boiling water
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Backpacking, camping

I had purchased the 1.7 liter Reactor previously. I purchased the 1.0 liter pot as a smaller/slightly lighter option. It works great, as you can still fit the burner unit and the smaller fuel canister in the pot for transport. The burner unit is a "snug" fit, but if you line up the fuel control lever with the "pour spout" on the pot, no problem. Great stove.
