I am an older minimalist backpacker. Every ounce counts.I have gone through numerous configurations over the years to finally evolve into a tarp and bug tent camper, thanks to the MSR thru-hiker mesh house 1. The mesh house is adaptable to the multiple configurations of tarp tenting. Packs small and so lightweight you'll forget its there. No bugs, no problem, simply zip back the generous overhead screen. One word of caution, on cold nights I generated condensation in the foot box. This happened with a down quilt. No issue with synthetic or treated down. Great product.
