I have yet to find the additional stability really necessary though I envisioned it would come in handy. The stand does work with every canister I have tried.

Great Product

This canister stand is build very well and a lot larger/wider than expected. It is very supportive and much nicer in my opinion than some plastic versions. Adding this stand to a 16oz canister and 1.7L pot or larger, i don't feel nervous at all about stability.
