Great stove!
I was first interested in this stove after a few raving reviews from some friends. I have 2 friends who have used the whisperlite international in various countries, and in the Aus and NZ mountains. From those reports, i needed to upgrade to a liquid fuel stove, so i tried one out, [*]!It is very quiet for a liquid stove, stable, fuel efficient AND fast boil, easy maintenance - just as promised by

The best for Winter Camping
This stove is far better option than the on again, off again functionality of a canister stove in the winter.

MSR whisperlight stove
25% off MSR products was a great deal for starters plus the stove came with a heat shield and basic repair kit which I wasn’t expecting. I have used a whisperlight for the last 15 or so years and it is the definition of reliability—hopefully this stove will cook up as many cookout memories.
Pros:
- Works with the trifold stabilizer which I already own
Cons:
- None

Classic still great as always.
Easy to light and boils fast. Just follow the instructions and use good fuel and it should last a long time. Good idea to keep an extra maintenance kit on hand as well.

Mobile Blowtorch!
Bought this little gem prior to a three day hike with a friend. One 22 ounce bottle of white gas was enough to cook all our meals and brew our coffee for the whole trip. Lightweight, compact, and easy to use, this stove has the grunt to boil up your billy in next to no time, which is nice on cold days. Stability is not great but this is the price to pay for such a compact unit.

Just the right touch
I was born and raised in the mountains of Alaska, literally. Staying inside the house is just not an option for me. As I am getting older and my parents are getting sick of me bumming their gear I have started acquiring my own. The Whisperlite has been a great piece of gear, keeping my coffee hot and my freeze dried meals not so frozen. Its compact enough to fit in my pack and also tough enough I

Back Pack Staple.
Been slowly purchasing my own gear, so I can finally stop borrowing my ex boyfriends gear. This stove fits the bill perfically for an affordable reliable stove. I got the international modle for emergencey reasons. I will be prepared if I find myself in a situation where stove fuel is not available.
