Cameron's Review of MSR WindBurner 1.0L System
I have the old MSR Whisperlite, this is heavier but such an improvement. It is faster, easier, safer, cleaner and essentially dummy proof. There should be downside (everything has one), but as a new user I have not figured it out. Maybe if I drop the stove from waist high it will break, but it will have to wait for it to happen (my Whisperlite is drop proof).
Gone are the days of shielding the stove or putting up the wind barrier.
Boil the water, drop in the freeze dried stuff, and voila. Clean it boil the water make tea, and voila.
Would be very interested in the cons - except for the weight differential.
Can it be adapted to the Whisperlite fuel bottles? Can it burn any fuel type?
