I purchased 2 bottles[...] I haven't tried the canteens on any hiking trips yet, but I did fill them with water and made sure they didn't leak. I also couldn't smell any funky plastic odor which is a plus. I love the design and also the way I can see the water level with it's see through design. Way to go guy's, thanks for what I think will be a great canteen for years to come... John
