Reviews & Ratings for NEMO Equipment Moonwalk 30 Sleeping Bag 700 Down

Great bag from Nemo! Comes with stuff sack and separate storage bag to allow for better loft during long periods of storage. There is no insulation on the underside of the bag, only a sleeve between the “bath tub” material and the inner bag material. This allows the badge to use the a sleeping pad to insulate rather than ineffective compressed down (squished down doesn’t work as well, cause your laying on it). The sleeve holds my sea to summit pad perfect and I assume it would work equally well with most others. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is that the bath tub bottom is kind of crunchy compared to the rest of the outer material. Not a show stopper, and a worth while cost of having a water resistant underside, but it is annoying enough to cost a star. That being said, I am very happy with the bag, would not hesitate to buy it again. I believe this design to be the perfect balance of a traditional bag and a pad-mounted quilt; saving storage space and weight over a traditional bag, without any concerns of drafts from a quilt.
Pros:
water resistance
Size to temp rating
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Spring and Fall backpacking
Would recommend: Yes
