I have duck feet. My toe box is average (medium) and my heel runs on the narrow side. I find it nearly impossible to find shoes of any kind. The medium width on these shoes is perfect for me. I wear a 9.5 in hiking shoes and sneakers (9 in dress shoes) and these are spot-on in terms of length. This is the third pair I've bought of these shoes. I'm more of a trail walker than a hardcore hiker but I've found them suitable in both arenas. I would say they get about 150-200 miles of trail use before needing to be replaced which for me is about 18-24 months. I've converted my partner to these hikers as well and he wears them as his everyday shoes year-round. He replaces them once a year. My feet don't get hot in the summer even with mid-weight hiking socks.
Are there any cons? They are perfectly fine for the occasional modest puddle and I've found them basically fine in a light rain, but they aren't great for swampy or heavy rain situations. You will have soppy socks - but this is the tradeoff for genuine breathability in my mind. The sole stays firm (no cracks) but I have noticed that the traction on rocks definitely starts to deteriorate around 100 miles. I say that because I would describe them as nice and grippy out of the box and definitely less-so as the season wears on. They stretch out a bit in width with use but I think that's to be expected.

Was looking for a new lightweight hiking shoe. This fits the bill perfectly! Nice wide toe box, good grip on the trail, I can tighten it around my low profile feet so it holds my foot in the shoe well. Has held up well on our rocky trails in AZ. So comfortable I've been wearing them with my jeans when I go out to run errands as well.
Pros:
- Lightweight, sturdy, good traction on the trail, and the wide toe box is excellent. Fix my low profile foot well.

Love these, wider toe box than Keens, and better ankle support. So far haven't needed my orthotics, just out of the box and wearing them. The lighter weight is a plus also. More color options would be nice.

I used to buy another major brand religiously but since I have discovered Oboz, I am a total convert. They are far more supportive than any other shoe I've tried and I need that support ... I have Morton's Neuroma and Plantar Fasciitis. Just glad to have found Oboz.

This is my 4th pair of oboz and absolutely LOVE them. I wear a pair to run and a pair for work. (RN 12 hr shifts x 3 days straight). This pair had a wonky hump in the arch. Don't know what that's about

cons to this shoe -it has awful sizing. the 10 Women's in the store did not fit of which I am. they did not have the 10.5 in store so I tried the 11 and that didn't fit my arch. I ordered the 10.5 and it was still tight and the shoe has not bend to it. I am not sure how anyone can hike in it as the sole is not flexible. Very uncomfortable. returned for refund.

These are excellent walking/hiking shoes that have great stability, grip and foot support. I have orthodics that I usually need to wear with any shoe, but not these. They are GREAT!

I couldn't be more please with this shoe. No break-in time, good grip but not clunky, and a great, true-to-size fit. I'm anxious to see how it holds up over the months to come but I hope this is my new shoe brand from here on.
