Solid, easy to use beacon

Excellent Beacon
The 3+ from Ortovox is fast and easy to use. This beacon has the ability to flag in the event of multiple burials and the feature are streamlined and intuitive. One of the things I really like about the 3+ is that it has everything you need and not a lot of extra ‘bells and whistles’ that you don’t need. As an avalanche safety educator, I spend a lot of time with beacons, and this is the best one I have found.

Real nice
This transceiver is a wonderful tool. It's easy to use and has great safety features. I was crushing the balls off of a gnarly line out in the Elks range and got myself buried after a slide occurred. My partner found me right away with his 3+ and got me out. Couple months later I had just finished a tasty shred when I saw a group of front rangers get taken out above me. I climbed up and retracted them in a flash with the aid of my trusty 3+. I don't leave home without it without it now. I was in the grocery store just last night. I got distracted by some cookies and before I knew it I had lost my children. Luckily I strap a 3+ to those lil mongoloids, too.

This is a great beacon. For the past few years, I've been using a BCA Tracker, and I've become concerned about it's range/functioning capability.
