I carry this in the backcountry. It's light, and it fits around my sleeping bag, or me. Fortunately I haven't gotten too fat to fit. The one time I opened it in my house, I saw that the word "help" is on it. Unfortunately, it's black and not reflective. I think I would probably roll over in my sleep though so you couldn't see the words.
All funny business aside, it's good at keeping water out and very light. It packs down a little larger than my fist and is a perfect addition to your pack to stay safe in case you don't make it too or from your destination.

This is very lightweight and packs small. It's always in my daypack on ski tours in the Sierras. It likely wouldn't hold up to extended use, but is great insurance in the event of an unexpected night's stay in the back country.
