Nice Daypack.
Giving the pack a four star after one day hike. Very comfortable pack, and the size is perfect for a fully prepared 15 miler.
This pack is light and lightly built, and I am hopeful yet guarded for durability over the long run.
Although the fit is very good, a few minor gripes are that the hipbelt pockets (which I really make use of) are small and set too far back. Also the mesh pockets seem pretty fragile. We'll see....
The other ergos are very good and very adjustable. Also the onboard rainfly is a great feature. I would recommend the Kestrel 28 for a versatile day pack.

Fast Shipping - perfect for trip to Europe
I bought this bag to make sure I could carry it on, and it fit perfectly for my trip to Switzerland and Germany. It fit in the overhead compartment - even in the shorter dimension. I also have the Atmos AG 50, and this bag looks a lot smaller, but I was able to get 4 days worth of business trip things in there.
The items arrived in Souther California in less than a week. I did get my order in before the noon MST deaden though - so maybe that helped.

Nice pack : Kestrel 28 Pack
Kestrel 28 Pack is suitable for the one-day hiking. The battle water can be set in the side packs. Small gadgets are easily put in the top-pack. The rain cove also protect your pack from the rain. It is the best day-pack of my four daily packs.

A nicely contoured day pack
A very nice pack, well-thought out and durable. Fits me nice and snug. I am 5'-11", 150#, and the M/L size fit by increasing the harness length only a skootch. I am using it for ski touring right now. The pack is narrow enough that it doesn't interfere with poling at all. The Airscape back panel is much better than the flat panel on my old pack.
