I was just using my daypack or climbing pack for school, but it lacked organization and most importantly a laptop sleeve. I was trying to decide between the Arc'Teryx Blade, Osprey Flapjack, and this one. In the end, I went with this pack. The Blade looked like a turtle shell and the zippers for the main compartment zipped all the way back for laptop security with the TSA, but totally useless and annoying if you never fly(like a poor college student). The Flapjack was nice, but lacked organization in my opinion and the flap was kind of bulky and gets in the way. The things I LOVE about the Radial is the frame that allows the pack to stand up(and yes, it works really really well, even with a helmet on the pack it does not tip over). The key retainer if a bit gimmicky I feel like, since you have to take the pack off to put your bike lock in the bike lock pocket anyways, still nice in thought and doesn't detract from the design. The straps are very comfortable, as well as the pack suspension. I also really like the organization. Laptop sleeve is big enough for my Dell Inspiron 7557, a big 15" laptop, pretty snug fit. Doesn't touch the bottom of the pack the way it is designed, so you never worry about setting it down hard. The rain fly I never use, but it's there if I ever need it. Yeah, great pack! Love for school and bike commuting to school.
